Cost effective social media marketing in Battersea


Lend Lease tasked us with creating a strong and thriving brand for their new development in Battersea that would appeal to the local market and have a strong social purpose. Its design and size were in stark contrast to the sprawling Nine Elms development across the Thames and a strong sense of community should be built, leveraging their green credentials of build.


The main challenge was to create a brand and sales strategy to help the client sell 50% of the apartments off-plan, so we embarked on a social media strategy through Instagram that promoted our Heart & Soul campaign. This campaign asked the local community to provide their best of Battersea images via our new Colbalt Place website to be curated and used within the wider marketing collateral.


As well as creating some compelling hoarding, a strong narrative to the sales brochure and a brand based on green credentials - Colbalt was inspired by the color blue, itself inspired by blue energy and the new 'green'. An off-site launch event in Chelsea was planned and our event, combined with the social traction we garnered helped reach the sales target and save the client over £300k, removing the need for a marketing suite and media spend going forward.
